A Cappellastock

I've been a little pre-occupied and my poor blog has suffered. I've been working on an event called A Cappellastock!! This was our 6th year at it was awesome. I can't describe it.... it's just amazing. If you havent been to A Cappellastock you have no idea what you are missing. It's electric, it's exciting and it's wonderful!!! Below are some pictures!!

T minus 5 singing with Paul Sperazza from Toxic Audio. He was our EmCee for the night!

The lovely Redneck Avenger

Paul is the redneck avenger?

Finale!!

Next year's show will be on August 21st. Seriously- mark your calendars now for this awesome event!

too cute

So the fella's of T Minus 5 sang at the Boys and Girls Club on Feb 4th 2009. The children's choir that Jared directs opened for them. This was my favorite memory of the whole night. Caleb Salmond- the one with his hand in his pocket and the sucker stick coming out of his mouth- was there because his Dad is one of the T Minus 5 guys. He and Logan are pretty good friends- and Caleb wanted to be up in front because Logan was. It was so cute.

Real Salt Lake

T Minus 5 was asked to sing at the Real Salt Lake Soccer Game last Saturday night. They sang as people were entering the stadium and then they sang the National Anthem. Dave Checketts, the owner of Real Salt Lake, said they were amazing and the guys sang happy birthday to his daughter during Mic Check for the National Anthem. Also- President Uchtdorf was there on the field and gave the guys a thumbs up. It was a lot of fun to be there in the sold out crowd. 20,000 people!!

On the big screen
Here they are- T Minus 5
You will notice that Shawn isn't here- Joe is filling in for him tonight!

The teams were escorted out by little kids. It was way cool.

In our "Suite!" Sam, Bella and Danielle- Lindi's lovely back of her head.

Sit back, Relax....

This is where I would like to be right now. On a lovely secluded beach- with no noise except for the waves from the ocean hitting the shore, a big huge Dr. Pepper on rabbit pellet ice, chocolate and a good book. A girl can dream can't she?

A Cappellastock was a success! Although we didn't make a penny (we lost money if you want the truth...) it was stinkin' AWESOME! It is always a lot of hard work- but in the end it's worth it. I'll update soon and put more pics- as for now-- I'm taking it easy. Still recovering from over 19 hours at the ampitheater.

Reminder.....

This is the crazy week! This Saturday is the big show! Come one Come all.... It's truly a great show and you'll love it. People are coming all the way from Japan just for this show! You should come too!

A Cappellastock 2008

Singing.....

As many of you know and several of you don't know, my cute hubby sings in an A Cappella group called T Minus 5. I'm often asked how they got their name, and I always say- it's a countdown to something big. They are getting ready to take off and do something huge.

Well, I think they have found their "thing" that is huge. We call it... A Cappellastock!

Now in it's 5th year- T Minus 5 has created, produced, promoted, and perform at the Largest one night A Cappella event. Of course, I am heavily involved helping with the details!!! It's in Ogden UT and this year we have some of the most amazing groups coming.

XRP represents the former members of Rockapella. They kicked off the hit TV game show Where in the World Is Carmen San Diego and started the contemporary a cappella movement. The group has not performed together since 1991, but has decided to come together once more just for A Cappellastock.
Hi-Fidelity is one of the best musical comedy acts in the nation. Their tribute to the original Star Trek Show has won them appearances on X Box Commercials as well as the Last Call with Carson Daily as the joke explainers.
Tonic Sol Fa has sold more than one million CD's, has their own Christmas special with PBS, and performed with Jay Leno and many other television personalities.
T Minus 5 is Ogden's own home-grown a cappella group and continue to perform throughout the West.

I hope you are all excited for A Cappellastock. If you want or need tickets- go to the website...www.acs08.com We'd love to have you here!
